ADULT AND YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

The Adult and Youth Volunteer programme is integral to the success of all of the projects we run at Hackney Quest – we couldn’t do any of it without our wonderful volunteers!   We generally have over 40 trained and skilled adult volunteers assist in the delivery of the various projects at Hackney Quest:

  • Youth Work Volunteers  assist in the delivery and development of the PYEP programme to support the young people attending our evening sessions and our weekend and holiday activities.
  • Family Support Volunteers  provide a signposting and listening service to clients attending the Frampton Park Youth and Family Centre, as well as helping them to develop life skills and help with English language and form filling.
  • Community Volunteers  provide support for the community by running coffee groups, lunch clubs and other community events while also volunteering at sessions in other local establishments.
  • Mentors  our mentors have been supporting individual young people attending Hackney Quest for the last 3 years. Mentors meet with young people fortnightly over a year to work towards 5 goals of their choosing that are focused on social, emotional, educational and behavioural outcomes.
  • HEAT Youth Volunteers  our Hackney Empowering Active Team (HEAT) are volunteers aged 14+. They volunteer on youth participation projects and support other young people on activities and workshops at Hackney Quest. All youth volunteering opportunities are aimed at gaining new skills, building confidence, encouraging responsibility, and attaining qualifications.
  • CSR Volunteers – we have a range of opportunities available for CSR volunteering and are keen to find imaginative ways to connect with corporate partners.

This project is funded by Henry Smith Foundation.
